Sabina Akech Owidi
Strong leadership brings clean water
Sabina Akech Owidi is the chairperson of Team Dedicated Workers in Paibona, Gulu, Uganda. As a conscious leader and an empowered woman, Sabina led a team of 47 members to bring clean water to her around 500 people.
Before attending Global Grassroots venture training, women and girls used to collect water from contaminated sources, children suffered from water-borne diseases, and girls could not attend classes. After this team brought clean and safe water her entire community found relief. Now children suffer less from water-borne diseases, and girls can attend classes.
